Cancellation policy

A security payment of 50% of the total fee is required as confirmation of your booking. Payment may be made by cheque, EFT or credit card. If guests are unable to attend as per the reservation, our cancellation policy is as follows:

• You may re-book within six months with no loss of funds. This is recorded as a postponement and is filed accordingly.

• Should guests cancel before 14 days prior to the time of stay, the deposit is fully refundable.

• If guests cancel between 14 days and 48 hours of the time of stay, 50% of the total deposit is non-refundable, unless the room/house can be re-booked for the same dates, in which case 90% of your deposit will be refunded.

• A cancellation made less than 48 hours before the date of stay will forfeit the total deposit paid.

We recommend you take out travel insurance to provide protection against loss due to illness, injury, death, loss of luggage and cancellation of travel.

Reasons for policy

While we always regret the necessity to impose charges upon guests who do not use the accommodation, we have found it necessary to make these charges in the hope that it will encourage guests to assist us in advising of any travel changes at an early time to allow us to relet the room with minimal loss.
